Israel (Stu) Spodek is a partner in the firm’s Health Care Department. He specializes in representing health care facilities with a focus on ensuring continuity of payment and successful reimbursement for nursing homes throughout New York State.
Mr. Spodek has extensive experience in all phases of litigation at the trial and appellate level, which actions involve various legal issues and disciplines such as breach of contract, debtor-creditor law, elder law, trust and estates, and fraudulent conveyances. He has handled a diverse array of proceedings on behalf of his clients in resolving accounts receivables issues including Article 81 guardianships, Medicaid appeals via Administrative Fair Hearings, and estate litigation in Surrogate’s Court. Mr. Spodek maintains an aggressive and creative approach in utilizing a broad range of legal remedies to obtain relief for his clients.
Previously, Mr. Spodek was an associate at a New York City real estate firm where he specialized in all areas of real estate, commercial, and construction litigation. He is a member of the bar of the State of New York and was admitted to the bar of the State of New Jersey. Mr. Spodek is a graduate of Yeshiva University (B.A. 2002) and of Fordham University School of Law (J.D. 2005).
