Ethan A. Kobre is a partner in the firm’s commercial and real estate litigation practices. He represents middle-market and closely-held business entities, real estate owners and developers, high-net-worth individuals, and for-profit, non-for-profit, and cooperative/condominium boards in federal and state trial and appellate courts and alternative dispute resolution forums throughout the country. Ethan’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of commercial and real estate disputes, including those involving contracts, business torts and break-ups, corporate governance and regulation, real estate, land use, construction, and employment law and discrimination. Clients rely upon Ethan’s analysis, skill, and tenacity in bet-the-company conflicts, while also seeking out his litigator’s perspective in contract negotiation and drafting. In addition to his robust litigation work, Ethan also regularly conducts sensitive internal investigations, and he manages and mitigates corporate exposure.

Previously, Ethan was associated with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP and later with Farrell Fritz PC. His experience also includes work in the chambers of United States Magistrate Judge Debra C. Freeman (SDNY), the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (Criminal Division), and the Office of the New York State Attorney General (Litigation Bureau).

Ethan received a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from New York University, and a law degree from the Fordham University School of Law, where he was a Dean William J. Moore Scholar and a New York City Bar Association C. Bainbridge Smith Scholar, and was a member of both the International Law Journal and the Environmental Law Review.

He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Tenth Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
